HOW IT WORKS
1. Purchase course & pick dates.
You can begin this course whenever it works for you, up to one week from the time of purchase. While you must commit to the start date, you can progress through the course at your own pace.
This Masterclass also runs at a discounted price four times annually and lasts for three days (see dates below).
After purchasing, put the date on your calendar, invite your friends to join you, and get excited.
2. Gather supplies before class.
Download the tools & supplies list from here and purchase the tools you don't have or just go the easy route and buy the tools from us (there's a button to do so at purchase). Either way, we will send you supplies like uncut bridges, sound posts, cork, etc. so you'll have everything needed for class. Then, gather a violin, cello, and/or bass to work on during class. It's best to have multiple instruments so you can get repetition throughout the course.
For this course, bring the instruments that you will be working on the most. If you are a director, consider bringing a number of each of these instruments from your school. If you are a cello player, bring a cello or two (or three!).
3. Complete coursework & attend office hours during class.
The day your class begins, you will receive your coursework membership login information. Follow the course's online step-by step instructions and videos, practice what's being taught, then attend one-on-one office hours via Zoom. During these calls, you will have the opportunity to show your work to a certified tech and ask questions. These office hours are not required, but they are highly recommended. Of the course's total price, almost $400 goes toward this individual time with tech, so please utilize it.
If you register for a discounted, quarterly course, your office hours will be in groups of 2 to 9 people. This lowers the cost for you while still getting personalized feedback from a repair tech.
4. Continue learning after class.
After the three days of class, you'll have access to the content library for life--which includes more articles than what we covered in class so there's plenty more to learn! When you have questions, reach out to a certified tech via the help desk.
